Silver Swans Workshop Days

In celebration of International Day of the Older Person, we are delighted to present our Silver Swans Workshop Days, featuring exclusive ballet workshops in Auckland and Christchurch. These special events will be led by our Guest Tutor Shaun James Kelly from the Royal New Zealand Ballet, offering a unique opportunity for older adults to experience the joy and artistry of ballet. Join us for a day of graceful movement, creative expression, and community connection as we honor the vibrancy and vitality of our senior dancers.

Details of workshops

Auckland – Sunday 29 September 2024

Time: 9:30am – 4:00pm

Venue: Auckland Academy of Dance, Level 1 44A Portage Road, New Lynn, Auckland

Christchurch – Sunday 6 October 2024

Time: 9:30am – 4:00pm

Venue: Levings School of Dance, 96 Disraeli Street, Sydenham, Christchurch

Please Note:  Both venues (Auckland and Christchurch) are located up a flight of stairs (no lift access available)

Fees

Price $75 (includes morning and afternoon tea),  please bring your own lunch

Workshop Levels

There will be two levels of workshop available

Discoverers – Designed for Beginners to Silver Swans and or Ballet

Explorers – Designed for the more experienced dancer with at least 2 years of Silver Swans experience or who have danced previously.

Please note we cannot guarantee a place in a particular group as it will depend on numbers but we will try to put you at the right level for your experience.
