Become a RAD Registered Teacher

You are just a few steps away from joining one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations, being added to our Register of Teachers, and connecting with a global community of like-minded people, all with a shared commitment to dance. Our membership runs for 12 months, we have introduced digital membership cards and teaching certificates that you will receive via email once your application has been approved

    If you’ve graduated from a Faculty of Education programme within the last 12 months you’re eligible for our reduced graduate rate. We’ll apply this automatically based on the information on your record.

    Your CV can include details on your education and qualifications, work history, skills and any other experience, with dates specific to each point.
  • As a dance teacher, you have duty of care toward the children and adults at risk who attend your classes or the premises in which you operate your business. It is your personal responsibility to ensure you meet the RAD safeguarding requirements as a professional member of the RAD; we will support you to meet these requirements. See our Safeguarding FAQ's for more information

  • Once you become a RAD Registered Teacher, your details will be automatically added to our online Register of Teachers, if you are not happy about this you can email membership@rad.org.nz. You can change your preferences at any time in the RAD Members' Area.
  • By completing this form you agree to adhere to and are bound by the RAD's Code of Conduct, Code of Professional Practice and Supplemental Charter and Bye-Laws.

    All teachers registered with the RAD are required to participate in the CPD Scheme.
