Summer School 2025  – Tiaho

Presented by RAD NZ in partnership with WIDance

The Tiaho Programme offers a series of inclusive workshops designed for children, young people, and adults with differ-abilities and disabilities. These workshops are part of RAD NZ’s Summer School and provide a playful, accessible approach to dance, focusing on creativity, movement, and expression. Participants will engage with music, props, and collaborative activities to explore dance in a fun and supportive environment. Each group will present their creations during a studio sharing session, offering participants a chance to perform and celebrate their achievements.

Course Fees: $50 for the two days

 

Student Scholarships

Full and partial scholarships for Summer School are available for applications based on need.

Programme

Course Overview

  • Target Groups:
    • Youth (age guide 8-14 year olds)
    • Open (age guide 12+year olds)
  • Approach:
    The workshops will be playful and accessible, encouraging participants to explore movement through music, props, and creativity. The sessions aim to foster enjoyment, personal expression, and collaboration.
  • Studio Sharing:
    The final day includes a collaborative sharing session, where participants showcase what they have developed alongside students from the RAD Grades course.

Additional Information

  • What to Bring: Comfortable clothing for movement, water bottle, snacks and lunch on Friday only.
  • Accessibility: Workshops are designed to be inclusive and accessible to all participants.

End of course studio sharing

Parents/guardians/whānau of Summer School students are invited to attend a studio sharing of work learned, on the final day of the course. Details are on the course programme . Entry free.
