INSPIRE Biennial event and awards
The next INSPIRE 14+ Dance Scholarship event will take place in Wellington 2026
INSPIRE offers 3 awards
- The INSPIRE Award – $8,000
- The Elvira Macrae Award – $6,000
- The Sir Jon Trimmer Award – $4,000
Each of the Finalists are awarded The Gloria Macrae Finalists’ award of $500
Candidates perform:
- An open class of 1.5 hours
- Two Studies
- A classical variation chosen from the listed classical 19th Century repertoire variations
- The RAD Centenary Variation, choreographed by Sarah Foster-Sproull
8-10 finalists are selected to perform their classical variation and the RAD Centenary Variation again in the evening.
